It was at A&M that he met his beautiful wife Vickie (class of 99).  He also worked as a mechanic for Bryan Outboard, where he would eventually meet his future business partner. Jeff David (class of ’00) majored in Agricultural Development and was president of the Aggie Angler Bass Club on campus. He was born in Garland, Texas. He also worked at Bryan Outboard where he met his new best friend and future business partner Mark. Mark and Jeff walked across the stage and received their diplomas on the very same day. After graduation, Jeff took a position in project management with Encompass Mechanical in Houston. The pay was good, the hours were long – and he couldn’t wait to get back to Aggieland. This is when TLC was created.  He moved back to Bryan and worked on getting Mark to later join forces . He was eventually successful in getting Mark to leave a good paying, steady job to go help a friend create, cultivate, and nurture the business now called Texas Landscape Creations. TLC is what it is today due to the joint efforts of Mark and Jeff. Jeff married Lisa and together they have 4 children.

Mark and Jeff love to hunt and fish together as well as make the occasional attempt at a golf outing from time to time.

Garrett Hinze proudly attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas beginning in the fall of 2005 after graduating from Round Top-Carmine High School, where he was one of 18 to walk across the stage. While in college, he was a member of Texas A&M Ducks Unlimited and participated in many different school organizational activities. In the fall of 2009, he received his diploma from Texas A&M with a degree in Animal Science and a minor in Business. Garrett was born and raised in the small town of Round Top; living in this environment helped him learn the characteristics of a dedicated and hardworking person. When he went to college, he went not only to go to school, but to also discover what it was in life he loved doing.

In February of 2007, Garrett applied to work for Texas Landscape Creations. Garrett continued to work for TLC during his remaining college career and decided this was something he could see himself doing and was offered a full-time position after graduation. A year later, he found himself in a position to leave College Station, which sparked the idea of possibly starting another branch. In the winter of 2011, everything worked out as planned and Garrett found himself moving to Round Rock, Texas to start another operation with partners Jeff David and Mark Deike.
